Dulux National Sales Promo




  • All persons (“Participants”) entering the Dulux “Buy and WIN” Promotion (“Promotion”) agree that the Promotion rules, as set out in these Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”), shall apply and are binding on them.
  • Grey (Pty) Ltd (“Mobitainment”) and Dulux (Pty) Limited are collectively referred to as the “Promoters” in respect of the Promotion for purposes of these Terms and Conditions. 
  • The following people shall not be eligible to participate in this Promotion: 
    • Directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees or consultants of the Promotors.
    • People who are not legal residents and/or legal citizens of the Republic of South Africa.
    • Spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the persons specified in a. above.
    • Persons under the age of 18 years.
  • This Promotion commences on 1 October 2018 and shall run until midnight on 15 December 2018 (“Campaign Period”), subject always to any early termination or extension thereof by the Promoters as contemplated in these Terms and Conditions.
  • These Terms and Conditions override any advertising collateral or material in the event of any conflict.
  • The Promotion will include 10 weekly cash prize draws as well as a grand prize draw.



  • A weekly cash prize of R50 000 can be won for each of the 10 weeks of the campaign (R500 000 in total for the full campaign duration).
  • All entrants who participate in the competition and successfully comply with the Terms and Conditions have the opportunity of winning one of the weekly prizes as well as the grand prize.
  • The winners will be selected by random draw and notified telephonically within 7 days of the draw. Should we fail to reach the selected entrant within 7 days a new winner will be selected.
  • In order to qualify for the weekly cash prize, entrants must produce a valid till slip for the purchase of Dulux products to the value of R1 000 (minimum) during the campaign period stipulated in section A (stores)
  • Required documentation in order to validate winner and award prize:
  • Proof of purchase corresponding to the till slip number used to enter the competition via USSD
  • Proof bank account
  • Proof of residential address
  • Personal identification documentation
  • The winners will receive the prize money within 21 days from the receipt of documents as stipulated in point 4 above  
  • Weekly draws will take place on the following dates:
  • Week 1: Monday 8 October 2018 (for sales period 1 – 7 October 2018)
  • Week 2: Monday 15 October 2018 (sales period 8 – 14 October 2018)
  • Week 3: Monday 22 October 2018 (sales period 15 – 21 October 2018)
  • Week 4: Monday 29 October 2018 (sales period 22 – 28 October 2018)
  • Week 5: Monday 5 November 2018 (sales period 29 October – 4 November 2018)
  • Week 6: Monday 12 November 2018 (sales period 5 - 11 November 2018)
  • Week 7: Monday 19 November 2018 (sales period 12 - 18 November 2018)
  • Week 8: Monday 26 November 2018 (sales period 19 - 25 November 2018)
  • Week 9: Monday 3 December 2018 (sales period 26 November  - 2 December 2018)
  • Week 10: Monday 10 December 2018 (sales period 3 - 9 December 2018)


  • The grand prize winner will receive All-New VOLVO XC60 D4 Momentun AWD, Sport Momentum Package - metallic Grey, includes numberplates, window tints, 2 in 1 Polish and Scotch Guarding as well as license plate and registration. (Incl. VAT & CO2 emissions. Prize excludes insurance as this will be for the winner’s account.
  • All entrants who participate in the competition and successfully comply with the Terms and Conditions have the opportunity of winning this prize.
  • In order to qualify for the grand prize, entrants must produce a valid till slip for the purchase of Dulux products to the value of R1 000 (minimum) during the campaign period stipulated in section A.
  • The winners will be selected by random draw and will be notified by telephone call confirming that they have won a reward. The winners will be contacted within 7 days of the draw to allow time to validate their entry.  If the winner cannot be contacted during this period, the prize will be deemed to have been forfeited by him/her.
  • Date of handover will take place within 2 months of date of winner announcement, and validation and is dependent on the receipt of the following documentation
  • Proof of purchase corresponding to the till slip number used to enter the competition via USSD
  • Proof bank account
  • Proof of residential address
  • Personal identification documentation
  • Proof of valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance supplied by winner in order to register the vehicle in the winner’s name.
  • Licensing and registration are included in the prize.
  • Winner needs to show proof of insurance before the car will be released.
  • The winner has to be a South African citizen with a valid driver’s license.
  • The Grand Prize will be “bought” by Grey before being handed over to the winner (it is not Volvo Car Corporation competition).
  • The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or for a different color or model.
  • The car will be taken to the Volvo dealership nearest to where the winner lives at Volvo’s cost. The handover will take place there.
  • The winner must arrange their own transportation, at their own cost, to the Volvo dealership for the handover. Dulux is in no way responsible for the winner’s travel costs.
  • The promoters are in no way responsible for any risks or damages that may occur once the Volvo is handed over.


  • To participate in this competition, the participant must purchase Dulux products to the value of R1000 or more, dial a USSD nr *120*469# and enter their unique till slip number when prompted.  
  • Only purchases and entries submitted via the USSD line during 1 October – 15 December 2018 will qualify.
  • Participating products include Dulux Premium Products. This promotion excludes the following: Rockgrip, Maxicover, Dulux Trade, Albertono, Bergermaster.
  • Entry costs 20c for 20 seconds as per USSD entry. Free minutes do not apply.
  • Winners are determined by random draw.
  • Participants may enter the competition a maximum of 5 times per ID number and cell number over the promotional period from 1 October – 15 December 2018 , provided that participant purchase the participating products each time and complete the competition entry and enter a new unique till slip number, subject to the following conditions:
    • All entries from disqualified participants’ cellphone numbers will be rejected
    • Only one prize per household and per person
    • No computer-based entries will be accepted
    • Participants must enter on a phone that is owned and registered to that person. No other person can use another person’s phone for competition entry purposes. If it is discovered that participants have entered from a phone that is not registered to them they will be disqualified, and the entrant will be requested to refund the prizes to promoter. This is to avoid fraud and to ensure compliance to the CPA.
    • Therefore each entrant is expected to be the owner of that phone and no singular person can enter off of another mobile phone number. This is to avoid additional fraud being conducted by multiple SIM card owners.
    • The cellphone number is key to all entries, if the entrant has won on a cellphone number they cannot use another number in order to be contacted further, this number needs to be a number that is contactable during office hours.


  • The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Dulux may require the winner to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement to enable Dulux to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions. Should the winner be found not to have complied with these Terms and Conditions, he/she will automatically be disqualified, and the prize will be forfeited. Winners may also be required to sign acceptance of prizes and indemnity documents.
  • The prize is not transferable, and no substitution or cash redemption of prizes is permitted.   The prize will not be handed/awarded to a third party, but only to the verified prize winner.

  • Any personal data submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and Dulux’s privacy policy.
  • The winner or participants may be required to take part in publicity campaigns for broadcast or publishing purposes. Winners or participants shall at all times be entitled to decline the above request. Winners or participants that take part in any publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise.  All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of the promoter.
  • The organisers of the competition reserve the right to cancel or postpone the competition at any time.
  • The Promoters will continuously monitor any irregular behaviour, whether it be in entries and/or Participant’s details. Consequently, any violation or attempt and/or suspicion of violation or irregular behaviour and/or non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions will result in immediate disqualification of the Participant.
  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the Participant or the Promoters in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA").
  • The Participant acknowledges that he/she has been given an appropriate opportunity to first read these Terms and Conditions and that he/she understands and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
  • All Participants participate entirely at their own risk. By reading and accepting these Terms and Conditions, the Participant gives consent to these risks and hereby indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoters, their directors, employees and agents of any and all liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in the Promotion and related events and activities, save where such damage, cost, injuries and losses are sustained as a result of the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of any of the Promoters.
  • The Promoters, their directors, employees, agents and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any Reward nor in respect of any warranties or undertakings given by any person other than the Promoters themselves.
  • The Promoters reserve the right to terminate or extend the Promotion at any time. In the event of such termination or extension, all Participants agree to waive (give up) any rights that they may have in terms of the Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoters, its advertising agencies, advisors, suppliers and nominated agents.
  • By entering the Promotion, Participants acknowledge that the Promotion will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the CPA. Qualifying Participants undertake to expeditiously do all things necessary to enable the Promoters to comply with their obligations under the CPA including, but not limited to providing such personal information as may be required in order to facilitate handing over the Reward to the Participant. Should any qualifying Participant refuse or be unable to comply with this requirement, the Participant shall be deemed to have rejected the Reward.
  • Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in these Terms and Conditions, the Promoters reserve the right to amend, modify, change postpone suspend or cancel this Promotion and any Reward (which has not yet been allocated), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoters deem necessary. At the end of the Promotion for whatsoever reason, all of the Promoters’ obligations in regard to the Promotion as well as in regard to the Rewards shall cease to exist.
