Rainshield

Fibre reinforced Waterproofer. The special fibres in Dulux Rainshield allow cracks of up to 2.0mm to be bridged.

Usage guide

Surface preparation

All surfaces must be clean and dry. All signs of fungus must be removed and surface sterilised with household bleach.
If surface is loose and friable, apply one coat Dulux Primer Sealer (bonding liquid). If sound, clean and apply direct to surface.
Remove any rust by wire brushing to a bright metal finish. Prime with one coat Dulux Primer for Steel.
New and weathered galvanised steel must be cleaned with Dulux Cleaner for Galvanised Iron and then primed with one coat Dulux Primer for Galvanised Iron.
All loose and flaking paint must be removed with a scraper. Exposed surfaces must be treated as per "new surfaces" above.
If surface is powdery, wash down with water, then follow with two coats. Enamel surfaces must be well sanded to aid adhesion
A chalky surface must be brush down thoroughly and prime with DULUX PRIMER SEALER (Bonding Liquid).
Ensure cracks are clean and dry

How to use

Ready to use.
Roller is mainly recommended for large flat surfaces.

Do not apply during cold (below 8°C) or wet weather
Do not apply to powdery or friable surfaces irrespective of whether the surface is new, cold or previously painted.
The fibres in Rainsheild will create a slightly rippled finish
