Primer for New Wood

Dulux Primer for Wood is a general purpose oil-based pink wood primer for interior and exterior use.

Surface preparation

Ensure that all surfaces are clean and dry.
Borer or fire retardant treated timber may cause slow drying (consult supplier).
Treat knots in timber with "Knotting" treatment.
Spot prime nail heads with Dulux Primer for Steel.
Special attention must be given to painting the end grain to avoid moisture penetration - apply a second coat after 10 - 20 minutes.
Ensure that flaking surfaces are stripped and patch primed.

How to use

Stir well before use
Ready to use by brush to ensure proper wetting and penetration of the primer into the wood.
Thinner : (if required) with Mineral Turpentine.
